On September 20th, during the opening ceremony of the Sixth National Scientific Popularization Day in Qinhuangdao, National Lighthouse Museum was awarded the title "Educational Base of Scientific Popularization" by Hebei Institute of Science and Technology.

The exhibition hall layout of National Lighthouse Museum fully mirrored the characteristics of aids to navigation, and through the display boards and brochures provided by the museum; the public acquired a better understanding about the irreplaceable role of the China MSA in the development of regional economy. China MSA has devoted itself in the developing of new technology, material and energy for the marine environmental protection over the years, and all the hard working and detailed measures of the bureau will help promoting the popularization of aids to navigation knowledge and the public awareness toward aids to navigation protection.
