The construction project of complementary AIS stations has been carried out in Jiangsu Province from the 8th to the 16th of May. The project comprised the construction of six AIS stations: Yanwei port, Binhai, Sheyang, Dafeng, Yangkou and Qidong. The work teams have successfully completed the mission under a rough weather condition and a tight schedule.

The completion of the complementary AIS stations has ensured the integrality of the onshore AIS network in the area, improved the capability of aids to navigation system along the coast of Jiangsu. In a large scale, it does not only implement the seamless coverage of the AIS signal which may improve the service of the navigational aids, but also promoted the development and safety of the shipping economy in the area. It is especially important to safety of the South-North shipping of China.
