Yantaishan Lighthouse is located on the top of Yantai Mountain in Zhifu bay of the Yellow Sea. It was established in July 1905, and rebuilt in 1986 and put into operation in 1988. The main body is a 12-layer white dodecagonal taper tower with the internal elevator which can directly reach the watching platform at the 11th layer. The lighthouse is recognized as one of the symbolized buildings of Yantai city. The lighthouse assists vessels passing by Yantai port. Yantai Mountain is coverd with green trees and grasses, which constitute a wonderful and attractive scenery.
