Chengshantou Lighthouse established in 1821 is located on the headland of Chengshantou at the most easterly end the Shandong peninsula. It was transformed in 1864 and 1874 respectively. It was destroyed during the war and was restored in 1950. The lighthouse assists vessels sailing in the Chengshantou waters. An AIS base station was installed in the lighthouse, nearby which a VTS center and a Radar station were established.
