Yuxingnaodao Lighthouse is located on Yuxinnao Island of Zhoushan archipelago, 6nm off Yushan Island of Daishan county in the east. Yuxinnao Island is of an equilateral triangle in shape.
The lighthouse was established in 1872 and rebuilt in 1945. The main body is a black round stone tower with a steel lantern of 2.2 meters in diameter on top. In 2004, the lighthouse was changed into an unmanned one. The power for the lighthouse is solar energy. It is installed with remote monitoring system and a Racon. The lighthouse, interlinking Tangnaoshan Lighthouse in the north and Taipingshan Lighthouse in the south, is one of the important aids to navigation for vessels sailing in the route of Shanghai-Ningbo, Shanghai-Zhoushan and Yangtze River estuary to ports of South China.
Yuxingnaodao Island abounds with native narcissuses, from which sweet and pleasant fragrance rises between autumn and winter every year.
