Buoy tenders played an important role in the oil spill response

  Friday, July 16, 2010, after putting out of the fire caused by the explosion of two crude oil pipelines in Dalian Newport, the main focus of the rescue and relief work has shifted to the oil spill response. As one of the maritime agencies in the rescue and relief work, Dalian AtoN division of Tianjin MSA took an active part in the operation.
  
  
  
  Monday, July 19, following the instruction of Command Center, the maintenance staff of Dalian AtoN division prepared spilled oil and waste recovery equipments and power station to be loaded onto buoy tender “Haibiao 0505” and “Haibiao 0507”. At 2, 30 p.m., the two buoy tenders arrived at the designated water area off the Mianhua island and began to clean up the spill oil. With a processing capacity of 120 cubic metres per hour, the recovery equipment which carried by the buoy tenders has played an important role in the whole operation.
